Having studied in a technical school during my high school was one of the best decisions of my life. I've learned so much with the teachers, lessons and mainly the people that I met there. It were 3 years of getting to know various fields of IT, as programming, networks, web development, entrepreneurship, and having lots of opportunities to grow as a person. EAJ gave me the opportunity to participate in a national event, FEBRACE 2021, engage in scientific research, learn how to make a robot with Arduino and having so much fun while doing this with a team of almost 20 people. I learned to communicate, work with other people and study on my own as well. I can say that this school changed me as a person.
I'm currently studying in this formation and I have to say that I've been growing a lot as a professional. Being at IMD has been giving me the opportunity of learn lots of base concepts about IT, from discrete math to networks and sort algorithms. Besides, I had the opportunity to learn various topics, as for example machine learning, quantum computing and computational modelling. This environment also facilitates daily contact with people who pursue various paths within IT. I learn a lot from them during our break time conversations. I'm in the 6th semester of this course, and I plan to continue my studies by pursuing another undergraduate degree after this one, in Computer Science. As I can follow straigh from BTI in my University, I'm looking forward to keep on my studies and dig deep into more base concepts, which I find very useful and important to know.
This experience was one of the best times in my life, I can say for sure. I've lived in Toronto for 4 months. Every day I had to get out of my confort zone, meet new people, be able to get things and information that I needed. It was a unique experience for me. Having only 19 years old, I could meet lots of people from all around the world, make connections, practice my English and grow as a person. During my time there, I've attended to B2 classes for 10 weeks, then I did an progress test and passed for C1 (Advanced) level. Due to the time, I'd only more 6 weeks in C1. Grammar, listening, speaking and writing were parts of the daily classes, and I enjoyed so much because I was leaning a lot every day. In C1, we had to do some lectures on Fridays, and this helped a lot with my formal speech.
